Jack R. Franks

Jack R. Franks, 63, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at his residence in Merryville, Louisiana. Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM until the time of service on Friday, May 15, 2009 @ 2:00 PM at Boxwood Church of Christ in Bivens, Louisiana. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the church with Darrell Hieronymus, Jay Alexander and R. C. Franks officiating. Burial will follow at the Bivens Cemetery in Bivens, Louisiana.

Jack was born on February 26, 1946 to the union of Ruel and Florence Jeans Franks. He served his country in the United States Army. Jack was employed for many years at various grocery stores as a market manager.

Survivors include the following; Mother: Helen “Bob” Franks of Merryville, LA; Spouse: Brenda Franks of Merryville, LA.; Daughters: Jackie Smith; Laura Gordan and Ashley (Jody) Cryer, all of Merryville, LA; Step Children: Angela Krueger of Sequin, TX; David (Melissa) Warden of New Mexico and Deanna (Daryn) Mabry of DeRidder, LA; Brothers: Joseph “Bo” (Kimberly) Franks of Merryville, LA; and Kenneth (Georgia Ann) Franks of Merryville, LA; Sisters: Wanda (John) Eaves of Merryville, LA; Robbie (Ernie) Cole of DeRidder, LA; Keitha (Malcom) Hare of Merryville, LA; Kathy (Richard) Cornwell of Merryville, LA and Johnnye Faye (Rayburn) Blackmon of Merryville, LA. Fifteen Grandchildren and One Great-Grandchild as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by: Father: Ruel Edward Franks and a Brother: Lauris Edward Franks
