Irving Jacobs

Irving Jacobs, age 80, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Matthew Jacobs and wife Sheila of Kinder, LA, Anthony Jacobs of Puyallup, WA, Phillip Jacobs of Zwolle, LA and Jerry Jacobs and wife Tracy of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Cynthia Wakeley and husband Kent of Natchitoches, LA, Donna Procell of West Monroe, LA and Stefanie Jacobs of Elton, LA; brother, Peter Ellis Jacobs of DeRidder, LA; sister, Margaret Sibley and husband A. W. of Merryville, LA; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Maggie Jacobs; son, Andrew Jacobs; brothers, Cecil Leon Jacobs and Daniel Jacobs.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Graveside services were held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Hyatt Cemetery in Hyatt, LA.

Mr. Jacobs had worked the majority of his life in the oilfield. He loved to fish. He had a strong, loving, and compassionate desire for family values.  He will truly be missed by all.
