Irma "Betty" Elizabeth Bailey, 78, of Leesville, Louisiana passed from this life on Saturday, November 20, 2010 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at Providence Baptist Church in Leesville, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Providence Baptist Church in Leesville, Louisiana. Rev. Byrd & Rev. Arlen Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana.

Mrs. Bailey lived in the Providence Community since 2002. She was born in Manitow, Colorado and spent most of her life in Texas. She worked for 25 years as a South Western Bell phone operator. She was a wonderful preacher's wife, world's greatest mother & grandmother. She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She was a mom to everyone.

She is survived by Husband of 56 years: Alvie Bailey; Sons: Stephen K. Young, Glenn Alvin Bailey, Thomas Elmo Bailey, Roy Lynn Bailey; Daughters: Patricia Gail Grooms, Melinda Lo Vincent; Sister-in-Law: "Rusty" Murphy; 15 Grandchildren & many Great Grandchildren.
