Howard Eugene Persinger

Howard Eugene “Gene” Persinger, 69, of Rosepine, LA, passed from this life on Friday, September 18, 2020.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of forty seven years, Barbara Jean  Chandonais Persinger of Rosepine, LA; daughters, Yvonne Renee’ Persinger of Rosepine, LA, Chantel Jean Persinger Myers of Rosepine, LA; brothers, Dwayne Persinger (Judy) of Brusly, LA and  Jerald Persinger (Carol) of Reserve, LA; sister, Linda Hoyt of Hammond, LA; grandson, Richard Hayden Myers of Rosepine, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Roy Persinger; mother, Margaret Elaine Reed Cartozzo.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Jay Alexander will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Richard Hayden Myers, Lee Hoyt, Duane Bailey, Robby Persinger, Jeff Persinger, and Greg Persinger. Honorary Pallbearer will be Kenny Hoyt. Interment will follow at Lewis/New Cypress Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.
