Herschell L. Anderson

Herschell L. Anderson, 66, of Kinder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, March, 8, 2019.

Herschell, attended DeRidder High School then began his career as a building contractor.  He worked in every phase of the construction industry for over forty years.  He attended LSU in Construction Estimating.  He did many renovations in Baton Rouge, LA for the Historic Society as well as the Garden District of New Orleans, LA.

Herschell, was born July 23, 1952 in DeRidder, LA. He was the nineth child of eleven children to the late Walter Lee and Lillian Brown Anderson. Also, preceding him in death are his brothers, Jimmy, Donald and Walter (Dub) Anderson and one sister, Jodell Anderson Welborn.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Steve, Fred, Richard, and Robbie Anderson: and sisters Beverly Cagle and Wanda Niles and his devoted friend, Loveland Poncho.

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home, in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until the time of funeral service at 2:00 PM.   Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.

He was known for his entertaining stories and quick-witted remarks. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
