Helen Rusillon Weeks was born July 13, 1925 in Rosepine, LA and passed from this life January 3, 2019.
She was blessed to travel extensively in the United States, and resided in Oregon, California, Texas, Indiana, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rudolph Weeks; daughter, Janice Hughes; son, Charles Edward Weeks; mother, Vanna Smith Rusillon; and father, Edward J. Rusillon. Survivors include daughters, Valerie Lunsford and husband Bud of Hallsville, TX, Rhonda Briers and husband Dean of San Antonio, TX; son-in-law, Bob Hughes of Winona, TX; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Weeks of Martindale, TX; son, Cole Weeks and wife Renita of Rosepine, LA; sister, Lucille Hunt of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Diana Allen and husband Paul, Richard Weeks and wife Patricia, Bobby Hughes, Becki Ditto, Casey Lunsford, and Jesse Weeks; nephew, Gilbert Hunt and wife Susan; niece, Nanette Zueck; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews.
Her interests included gardening, crochet, and the Bible. She was a member of Pentecostal churches in the various cities where she lived, at times serving as a Sunday School teacher as well as playing piano or the accordion. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to the Rosepine United Pentecostal Church building fund.
