Helen Marie Dickerson

Helen Marie Dickerson, 89, peacefully entered heaven on November 30, 2013.  Helen was born in DeRidder on May 14, 1924.  She lived a life of faith and was a beautiful example of strength, courage, and unconditional love to her family.  She is survived by her husband, Jim Dickerson, of 43 wonderful years; her sons, Jimmy Boitnott and Danny Boitnott; daughters, Brenda Wood, Sharon Bushnell, Kaye Wade, Mary Jo Murray and Linda Pruitt; sister, Geneva McGraw; 28 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Flora Holliday; husband Sidney Boitnott; brothers, Elvin and Moise Holliday; sisters, Eloise Prather, Willie Mae Adlong and Leona Lewis; son, Tommy Boitnott; daughter, Patsy Sharpe; grandchildren, Mark Sharpe, Henry Johnson, Tami McGee; and great grandson, Jacob Beasley.

Visitation will be Monday, December 2, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.  Bro. Sam Burchard will officiate.
