Helen Marie Daffin

Helen Marie Daffin, 91, of DeRidder, LA passed from this life on Monday, February 11, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Daffin was a member of Westview Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, James C. (Jim) Daffin, Jr. and wife Katie of Evans, LA; daughters, Jeraldine D.(Jerry) Jones and husband Major of DeRidder, LA, Barbara A. Daffin of DeRidder, LA, and Frances L. Miers and husband Roland of Ruston, LA; brothers, Royce Smith and wife Frances of White Oak, TX and Herbert Smith of Lake Charles, LA; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceeded in death by her husband, James C. Daffin, parents, Lyman and Avie Smith, sisters, Irene Emmons, Belva Hester and Margie Cooley, brothers, Carmen Smith, J.B. Smith and Clarence Smith.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February, 13, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville, LA.  Bro. Wayne Kite and Bro. Jason Hoychick will officiate. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Henry Carter, Dr. Mahesh Pandya and Brighton Bridge Hospice and thank all the many friends for their prayers and kindness shown during this time.
