Helen Lavera Whiddon Thompson, 90, of Kingwood, TX, passed from this life on Monday, February 22, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of seventy-two years, Joe James Thompson; daughter, Debbie Warren and Jack of Kingwood, TX; sisters, Eloise Marze of Winnsboro, TX, Teresa Madison of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, Stephanie Evans and James of Kingwood, TX, Matthew James Warren of Fort Worth, TX; great grandchildren, Cooper Warren Evans, Madelyn James Evans and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Timothy Thompson; parents, Addison Burl and Annie Whiddon; brother, Tresmer Whiddon.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Chad Boone will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
