Hazel Richard

Hazel Richard, 89, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, October 21, 2018.

She loved to spend time gardening in the yard. Mom always made the best gumbo and chicken & dumplings.  She was a member and well known as Green Leaf in the Four Winds Tribe of Louisiana Cherokee Tribe.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Felix Joseph Richard of Port Arthur, TX, Ricky Richard of DeRidder, LA and Craig Richard and Kerrie of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Brenda Bush and Calvin of Nederland, TX, Debbie Barrow of DeRidder, LA and Sherrie Brumley of DeRidder, LA; brother, Kenneth Felice of Deweyville, TX; sisters, Emma Felice Perego of Ragley, LA, Eola Felice Corbello of Crowley, LA and Neil Felice Jones of Florida; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Richard; parents, Kennie and Ida Felice; brothers, L. J. Felice, James Wesley “JW” Felice, Stewart Wayne Felice and Wesley James “Duva” Felice; sisters, Lacy May Cumming Felice and Wava Joyce Felice Barrow.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 4:00 – 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Johnny Johnson will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be Tyler Brumley, Micah Richard, Brandon Cooley, Gordon Miers, Jeron Richard and Payton Richard.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
