Harold Lelan Brice

Harold Lelan Brice, 78, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will be held again on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Interment will follow at Cooper Cemetery in DeRidder.

Harold retired as 1st Sgt. from the US Army after 21 years of service. He saw 2 tours of duty in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. He worked for 23 years as a body shop manager at CBG. Harold was an avid Motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of Chapter M, GWRRA, Mud Bugs and Slow Rollers among others. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family and companion Scruffy. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Mable Carter of Sikeston, MO; wife of 57 years, Joan A. Brice of DeRidder, LA; sons, Jim Brice of DeRidder, LA & Ray Brice & wife LaDonna of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Sheryl Ann Brown & husband Gary of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Jeff Carter of Roland, AR, Conlan Carter of Branson, MO & John Carter of New York, NY; sister, Marvine Ellison of Sikeston, MO, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his father, Arvel Brice; stepfather, John Earl Carter and brother, Roger Carter.
