Gwyneth Cora Sykes

Gwyneth Cora Sykes, 68, of Rosepine, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Rosepine Retirement and Rehabilitation. She was an avid reader and an active member of the First Presbyterian Church USA.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, 9 months and 13 days, Larry Sykes of Rospine, LA; her son, Matthew Sykes and Carmen of Longville, LA; her daughter, Timoree Sykes Jessup of Kurtwood, LA; her brothers, Jack Daniel Groutage and Anne of Blackfoot, ID, and Evan Williams Groutage and Guita of Pacific Beach, WA; her grandchildren, Christina Thompson, Holden Thompson, Jme Sykes, Omri Rodriguez, Justin Paredes, Hunter Rodriguez and Meidejah Rodriguez; and one great grandchild, K C Sykes. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Evelyn Groutage; and her sister, Eireen Hart.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 am at New Hope CME in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at New Hope CME in DeRidder, LA.
