Glenda Hunt, 79, of Leesville, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, February 13, 2016 in Lake Charles, LA. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, William Louis Hunt; son, Shannon Hunt; daughter, Clenda “Candy” Houston; son-in-law, Tony Houston of Houston, TX; siblings, Louise Johnston, Maurine Moses, George Simmons, and Rita Viera; grandchildren, Tony Samuel Houston, and Amanda Lorraine Houston Blessing and husband Bo; and great grandchildren: Samuel Blake Houston, Callie Jean Houston, Dalton Matthew Laxson, Kamryn Nicole Blessing, and Caden Wayne Blessing.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Juanita Simmons; son, Charles Ray Hunt; siblings, Bernice Nolde, Marie Hawkins, Donald Simmons, and Nina Fodell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service is Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 10:00am at First Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA.  Burial will follow at Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder.  Rev. Lindsey Burns will officiate.
