Gilbert Doyle

Gilbert Doyle, 81, of Singer, LA, passed from this life on Monday, February 15, 2016 in Merryville, LA.

Before he came ill, Gilbert enjoyed going to church and being with his church family.  He enjoyed fishing, riding the roads with his wife, working in his garden, mowing and keeping the yard neat with him waxing his lawn mower regularly.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Doyle; sons, Darrell Doyle of Singer, LA, Dennis Doyle and wife Alisa of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren, Conner Doyle, and Garrett Doyle, both of Sulphur; great granddaughter, Ridlee Brady; sisters, Linda McCue of Fort Worth, TX, and Norma Lee Droddy of Singer, LA; brothers, Wilbert Doyle and wife Lois of Corrigan, TX, and Dale Doyle of DeQuincy, LA. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Rita J. and Melissa C. Doyle; granddaughter, Brittany Brady; parents, Ezra and Gertrude Doyle; brothers, Ronald, Norman, and Rodney Doyle; and sister, Melba Jean Puryear.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Singer United Pentecostal Church in Singer, LA.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 1:00pm at Singer UPC.  Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer, LA.  Rev. Donnis Ashworth, Rev. James Vandergriff, and Rev. Samuel Ashworth will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the family for medical expenses.
