Georgia Ray Shafer Burnett, 79, of Bossier City, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

Georgia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved her family; especially her grandchildren. She was known for empathy and compassion and loved sewing, crocheting, and making arts and crafts for family and friends. She was beloved by her coworkers and impacted many lives during her career. Georgia was also a wonderful cook and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of forty years, Jeffrey Burnett of Bossier City, LA; son, Dr. William Britton Eaves II and Stacey of Benton, LA; sister, Joetta Richardson of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Madeline Hardee(Alex), Gabrielle Eaves, Alexandra Eaves, William Britton Eaves III; great grandchildren Eliza and Sawyer Hardee; faithful companion, her dog, Jasmine Rose and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Vida Shafer; brothers, Leo, Harold, Robert, Elmo, Jiles Arlando Shafer; sisters, Thelma Lewis, Vivian Scarborough, Sandra Moses.

Graveside Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 17, 2024 at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA. Franklin Moses will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Britt Eaves, Allen Farquhar, Robert Shafer, Joel Colletti, Glen Lee, Anthony Lee, Joe Williamson. Burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery.
