George Hardy Deason, 83, of Pitkin, LA, passed from this life on Friday, August 28, 2020.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Deborah Chapman and Stephen of Richmond, TX; brother, Lee Deason and Jo of Pasadena, TX; sister, Erma Lea Bailey of Pitkin, LA; granddaughters, Stephanie Pocasangre and Charlie of Katy, TX, Katherine Chapman of Richmond, TX; grandson, Alex Chapman and Ambyr of Dallas, TX; great grandson, Harrison Chapman of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Jim Podhorsky; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara Deason;

parents, Robert and Catherine Deason; sister and brother-in-law, Bertie and Buster Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elvin and Ruth Deason, Elmer and Eloise Deason, Marvin and Opie Deason, Cartis and Emily Deason, Mitchell and Janice Deason;

brother-in-law, Delton Bailey.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Marlow Cemetery in Pitkin, LA. Brother John Elliott will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
