Gennie Leon Gantt, Sr.

January 27, 1948 - August 11, 2015

Gennie Leon Gantt Sr., 67, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.  Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Natha Gantt; son, Gennie Leon Gantt Jr. and wife Heather of Winter Garden, FL; daughters, Carol Gantt of Decatur, GA, and Clarissa Gantt of DeRidder, LA; brother, Billy Gantt and wife Pamela of Gary, IN; grandchildren, Gennie “Trey” Leon Gantt III, Sawyer Gantt, and Kyran Staves.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Gennie and Johnnie Mae Gantt; and grandparents, John and Lula Mae Stevens.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 17, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 11:00am at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder.  Rev. Keith W. Stevenson will officiate.
