Frank Anthony Scott

Frank Anthony Scott was born June 27, 1960 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Dorothy Mae Major Groves.

He was one of nine children. Frank was known as Todd, Frank Tot and Toddy as his family and friends called him. Frank attended DeRidder Schools in DeRidder, Louisiana.

Frank was employed by the City of DeRidder until his health started to decline. He worked with his bestie (Hardy Myers) faithfully, even with his medical condition. He went to Colonial to visit and fold programs for funeral services. Frank always found time to stop by to visit with his friend Carol Green.

Frank was baptized at the Beauregard Church of Christ on February 22, 2004. He remained faith in his service to the Lord, even during his illness.

Frank transitioned from labor to reward on June 20, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Mae Major Groves; his sister, Ulia Mae Scott-Chavis; his grandparents, Frank Major and Eula Major and a special niece SSG Donisha Stroman.

Frank is survived by his sisters, Patricia Washington (Moses), Houston, Texas; Doris Ford (Clifford), Sandra McCoy, Sophia Tellis (Donnie); brothers Clayton Scott (Rita), Danny L. Groves Jr. (Marie) and Eric L. Groves all of DeRidder, Louisiana and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and friends.

He shared a special love for Hardy Myers and Family, Caroll Green and family, his pastor Bro. Newsome and 1stLady Newsome.

With all the lives that Frank touched, he can rest in the knowledge that he is Gone, but Not Forgetten.

Vistation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., with funeral being held at 11:00, at Beauregard Church of Christ in DeRidder, LA.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
