Floyd Douglas Hays, Jr., 55, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, July 3, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of thirty years, Sharron Hays of DeRidder, LA; sons, Cory Thompson of DeRidder, LA, Floyd Hays II of DeRidder, LA, Dustin Hays of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Krystal Veal of Peoria, IL; father, Floyd Hays, SR. of Mendenhall, MS; brothers, Phillip Chatmon and Terri of Mendenhall, MS, Bruce Chatmon of Mendenhall, MS, Patrick Chatmon and Lovetta of CA, Rodney Hays and Lillie of Mendenhall, MS, Dexter Hays and Misty of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Brenda Harper and Larry of Mendenhall, MS, Rechetta Lapsley and Anthony of Fort Wayne, IN, Brashonda Conerly of AL; grandchildren, Jacorey, Aaliyah, Cory, Ja’Marion, Angel, Milana, Kinsley, Paityn and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Willa Hays.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Star of Bethlehem Church in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 11, 2023 also at Star of Bethlehem Church. Dr. Paul R. Holmes will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Corwin Archield, Anthony Archield, Michael Jackson, Sr., Charles Williams, Patrick Veal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Floyd Hays, Sr., Phillip Chatmon, Bruce Chatmon, Patrick Chatmon, Rodney Hays, Dexter Hays. Burial will follow at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
