Everett Earl Merchant

Everett Earl Merchant, 86, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of sixty-six years, Betty Jeane Merchant of DeRidder, LA; son, Randal Merchant of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Lana Brown and Larry Joe of DeRidder, LA; brother, Melton Merchant and Delores of DeRidder, LA; sister, Evelyn Brooks of Monroe, LA;  grandchildren, Laci Joe Brown of Pickering, LA, Larry Lynn Brown of Pickering, LA; great grandchildren, ShyLynn Tyler, Tripp Clemons, River Rain Evans and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Effie Merchant; brother, Melvin Merchant.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Reverend Alvin Peters and Edward Evans will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Brant Merchant, Davis Peavey, Johnny Sharp, Steve Temple, Earl Hickman and Al Flores. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
