Eugene Duaine Kulaga

Eugene Duaine Kulaga, 69, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, October 23, 2016.

Mr. Kulaga graduated from DeRidder High School in 1965. He was employed at Boise Cascade for 19 years. He then started his own business in 1987, along with his wife, Judy, known as E.K. Construction Company, Inc.  One of his other business endeavors was K & K Grocery.  He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Judy Farris Kulaga; daughters, Sandy Smith and husband Kevin, Page Robberson and husband Tommy and Sharon Myers and husband Dustin; grandchildren, Kyler and Kolby Smith, Latkin Robberson Powell, Gage and Piper Robberson and Trace, Tripp and Brystol Myers; great grandchildren, Masyn Robberson and Kendyl Powell; brothers, Joey Kulaga and wife Margie, Mike Kulaga and wife Carla, David Kulaga, Henry Kulaga and wife Kathy; sisters, Rose Mary Kulaga, Patti Farris and husband D C, Libby Cline and husband Donnie, Beverly Keel and husband Dale, Jolynn Kulaga, Lanie Laughlin and husband Gerald; Aunt/Uncle, Billy Brister, Reba Collins and Everett Brister. And a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen Kulaga.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 5:00-9:00PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will continue at Ludington Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 12:00PM until time of service, with services being held at 2:00PM. Rev. Doug Mitchell and Rev. Jason Hoychick will officiate. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville, LA.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Beauregard Memorial Hospital, Dr. Ernesto Kufoy, and staff and nurses at Westwood Manor.  Also, we are very appreciative of the many prayers from family and friends.
