Eshom Vernez Ashworth, 38, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

Those left to cherish his memory are his spouse, Gabryelle Maria Ashworth of DeRidder, LA; sons, Laquan Muci Ashworth of Atlanta, GA; and Kenias St. Romain Ashworth of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Michael Ashworth & Keisha, Marcus Ashworth & Brandi, both of Tulsa, OK; sister, Linda Andrea Watson of Lake Charles, LA; step sister, Adriane Johnson of DeRidder, LA; mother-in-law, Alice Marie Bowers of DeRidder, LA; aunts and uncles, Glenda Rahming, Marilyn Thomas and Milton, Johnnie Mae Murray and Glenn, Michael C. Ashworth, Obie J. Ashworth and Mia, Whitney P.  Ashworth and Inetta; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers in life and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Ruth Ashworth and grandparents, Alfred and Mary Ashworth.

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA until the time of service at 11:00 AM also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Pastor Keith Stevenson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Frederick Bester, Garrick Cotton, Damian McClendon, Marcus Ashworth, Christopher Dupont, Whitney P. Ashworth and Dantrel Thomas, Obie Ashworth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Quinn Ashworth, Laquan Ashworth, Kenias St. Romain, Michael C. Ashworth, Milton Thomas, Michael P. Ashworth, Adrian Dorsey, Anthony Taylor. Burial will follow at Spikes Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
