Erma

Erma L. Johnson Wallace was born September 4, 1944 to the late frank and Delitha Johnson, Sr. in Temple, LA.

She was baptized at Beech Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend B.M. Kenebrew, then later joined the Mt. Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Louis Guy, I. She enjoyed singing in the choir and helping the young people.

She graduated from Carver High School in 1965 with excellent attendance and various achievements in academics.

She was an employee of Beauregard Parish School System and the First National Bank where she retired from both.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Kelvin Johnson of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Katrina Chaisson of DeRidder, LA; step-daughter, Leslie Robinson of Leesville, LA; granddaughter, Kimberly Chaisson of Fort Worth, TX, grandsons, Scottie Chaisson of Fort Worth, TX, Nigel Freeman of Lake Charles, LA, DeMark Watts of DeRidder, LA; three great granddaughters; Godchildren, Tyronda St. Romain of DeRidder, LA, O’Shae Johnson of Shreveport, LA; brothers, Frank Johnson, Jr., Elijah Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Robert Johnson, all of DeRidder, LA, Bobby Johnson of Livingston, TX; sisters, Bessie Mitchell of Seattle, WA, Betty Bartee of Quitman, MS, Rosa Allen of Port Arthur, TX, Lillie Williams of DeRidder, LA, Lottie Johnson of Beaumont, TX, Patricia St. Romain of DeRidder, La; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceding her in death are her mother and father, Frank and Delitha Johnson, Sr.; husband, Earl Wallace, Sr.; daughter, Marilyn Allen; son, Earl Wallace, Jr.; brothers, Dorsey and Otto Johnson; sister, Evelyn Williams.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the time of the private funeral service at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Reverend Louis Guy will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow at Community Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
