Emma (M) James Depaolo

Emma (M) James DePaolo, 73, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed from this life on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital.

Emma is survived by her husband Joseph T. DePaolo of DeRidder, LA; sons, Jeffery A. DePaolo of Pearl River, LA and Martin Taylor & wife Melissa of Raleigh, NC; daughters, Jill A. DePaolo Fishkill, NY, Christine L. Casablanco & husband John of Fishkill, NY, Deidra Heiss & husband Ron of Barlow, OH, Denise Repo of Wappingers Falls, NY and Cheryl A. Toro of Tampa, FL; 1 brother, William T. James & wife Annabelle of Niceville, FL, 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Emma is also survived by her very special friends Ben and Dori Sipps of Springhill, FL.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin & Anna (Scheibley) James, brothers, Donald James & Edwin James and son, Gregg J. DePaolo.

Mrs. Emma was a very talented artist in her leisure time. She was also very involved in Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts with her children. Mrs. Emma was active at one time in Civil Air Patrol rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. From 1986 to 2000 Mrs. Emma and Mr. Joseph were very active in the Swinging Squares Square Dance Club of Deridder, LA. She was a loving wife and mother who will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the near future. Her body is being donated to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Breast Cancer Research in Memory of Mrs. Emma James DePaolo.
