Elton Mayes Iii

Elton Mayes III, 56, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, November 3, 2013.  Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Dorothy Mayes of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Isheka Lynch of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Cleveland Mayes and wife Emily of Alexandria, LA, Andrew Mayes and wife Sheila of DeRidder, LA, Walter Mayes and wife Adrian of Baton Rouge, LA, Robert Mayes of Baton Rouge, LA and Timothy P. Mayes and wife Margaretta of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Margaret Silas and husband Reginald of DeRidder, LA, Dorothea Palmer and husband Lether of New Llano, LA, Sheila LaVant, Doris Peters, and Bernadine Mayes all of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Darius Lynch, Jr., Ethan Lynch and Zj’Kai Lynch.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Mayes, and father, Elton Mayes, Jr.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Grace Church in DeRidder, LA.  Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am with funeral service beginning at 11:00am.  Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder.  Rev. Jimmy Glass will officiate.
