Ellaweise "Bugs" Lambert

June 30, 1925 - July 29, 2014

Ellaweise "Bugs" Lambert, 89, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in Alexandria, LA.  Mrs. Lambert stood for what she believed in and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and could sell anything.  She brought the original New Orleans Style Snocones to DeRidder.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Halton “Dog” Lambert and wife Gay of Merryville, Dalton “Tunnie” Lambert and wife Janet of Salisbury, NC, Alton “Tudor” Lambert and wife Brenda of DeRidder, and Elton “Poot” Lambert and wife Pam of Little Rock, AR; daughters, Sammie Rose Kubala and husband Ronald of Wallisville, TX, and Sharon “Baby Sister” Lambert of DeRidder; 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon H. Lambert; sisters, Mae Nelson, Bessie Smith, Ruby Clark, Darty Drake, and Rosie Green; brother, Bill Droddy; parents, Andrew and Catherine Droddy.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral Services will be Friday, August 1, 2014 at 2:00pm at First United Pentecostal Church in DeRidder, LA.  Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery in DeRidder. Pastor Elton Lambert will officiate.  The family would like to give special thanks to Beauregard Memorial Hospital ICU.
