Elizabeth Anne Travis Hooper

Elizabeth Anne Travis Hooper, 70, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

Known to many as “Anne”, she was a treasure of a person. She was and is still loved by all who knew her. Anne was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and those who knew her called her friend. She was a true blessing to many lives, and her love and memory live on through the moments and the lives of those she touched.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of thirty-two years, Charles Hooper of Merryville, LA; daughters, Avon Knowlton and Edward, Sarah Courtney and Coty, Ashley Allison and Jeffery, all of Merryville, LA, Jennifer Harcum and Denver of Ball, LA; stepson, Andy Hooper of Burkeville, TX; stepdaughters, Brandi Morgan of Flagstaff, AZ, Randi Shaffer and Harley of Ansonia, CT, Kati Torres of North Fork, VA; sisters, Patricia Travis, Susan Ackerman and Tommy, Kathy Riggs and Tiny, all of Merryville, LA;  sixteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer Jesse and Goldie Travis; sister-in-law, Avon Hennigan Caraway.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Brandon Gill will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be David Riggs, David Ratliff, Garrett Knowlton, Mike Lanier, Bryan Smith, Tommy Ackerman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marshall Allison, Jeffery Allison, Denver Harcum. Burial will follow at Meadows Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
