Edward Charles Turner

Edward Charles Turner was born January 17, 1951, to union of Sgt. Julian P. Turner and Pearl  B. Turner in Augusta, GA. Most of his childhood was spent in DeRidder. He was given the nickname "Pee Wee" by family and friends. He was spiritually nourished and baptized at an early age at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of late Rev. K.E. Robinson. His education was received in the Beauregard Parish School System. He had a quiet, humble and gentle spirit.

He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories five sisters: Elizabeth Harris of DeRidder, LA; Martha Archinard, Dorenda Turner and Deborah Guillory of Lake Charles, LA and Brenda Joyce Baker of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Floyd Seymore of Natchitoches, LA and Julian P. Turner, Jr. of Jamaica, NY; one sister-in-law, Betty Seymore; three brothers-in-law, Joseph H. Harris, Thomas Archinard and Nathaniel Guillory; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church, M.L. King Drive.. on Thursday, January 21, at 1:00 P.M. - Rev. Daniel Stafford, Officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 to the time of service on Thursday, January 21, 2010.
