Edna May Bradford, 87, of Denton TX passed away January 2, 2019, at home with family by her side. She was born Edna Freeze February 6, 1931 in Braman, Oklahoma to Walter and Esther Freeze. She married Lawson Bradford in Blackwell, Oklahoma on June 2, 1951.  Being in the military, the Bradford family lived in many places and spent many years in DeRidder, LA where Lawson was stationed at Ft. Polk and she worked as a legal secretary for many years.


Edna is survived by her children, Paula Edmondson, Joan London, Ken Bradford, Jim Bradford, Nick Bradford, Scot Bradford, Sam Bradford and Randy Bradford and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, husband and two sisters.


Edna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was an avid reader and accumulated a large book collection but loved her Kindle.  She enjoyed sewing and made many costumes and outfits for her highly entertaining children.  She also enjoyed making her own greeting cards which she shared with family and friends.


Viewing will be at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana, January 6, 2019 at 9:30 A.M.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Woodlawn Cemetery in DeRidder.
