Eddie Wayne Corbett

Eddie Wayne Corbett, 75, of South Toledo Bend, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Eddie was a firm believer in God first, then family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and his church family. Eddie was a member of Anacoco First Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. He worked at Boise Cascade for thirty-four years before retiring. Eddie was an avid duck hunter, deer hunter and fisherman. He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

 Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-six years, Patsy Corbett of South Toledo Bend, LA; son, Eddie Corbett, Jr. and Rene’e of Merryville, LA; sisters, Evalina Cunningham and Pat of Mooringsport, LA, Nelda Faye Williamson of Merryville, LA; grandchildren, Shelby Adams and Trent, Cheston Corbett and Brittney, Jayce Corbett & Jerra, Collin Corbett, Kaylee Corbett and Phillip, Clay Pickett; great grandchildren, Annabelle, Waylon, Phoenix, Stella, Braxton, Winston; fur babies, Jake, Patches and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Jeffrey Corbett; father, Chesson Corbett; mother, Clydell Mayes; sister, Barbara Corbett; brother-in-law, David Williamson.

 Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Brother Jim Miers and Brother Michael Burkes will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Cheston Corbett, Jayce Corbett, Trent Adams, Collin Corbett, Clay Pickett, Alex Bryant. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tristan Smith, Braxton Folse, Waylon Adams, Phoenix Williams, Winston Corbett. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
