Eddie Wayne Calhoun, a true southern gentleman, passed away on October 3, 2024, in Rosepine, LA. Born on December 8, 1951, in DeRidder, LA, he was known for his love of fishing, cooking, and spending time with friends at his camp on Toledo Bend, Eddie was a familiar face in the community. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, Luke and Julia. He dedicated many years of his life to working as a purchasing agent at the Boise Cascade paper mill in DeRidder, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.
Eddie was a social butterfly, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. He touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity.
Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Jennifer Davis and Dan of Stonewall, LA; brother, Larry Calhoun and Carolyn of Logansport, LA; sister, Beverly White and Jimmy of Rosepine, LA; grandchildren, Luke Davis and Julia Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Ruth Calhoun.
Celebrating his life, a Memorial Service will be held on October 8, 2024, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA at 11:00 am.
Eddie will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
