Doug Myers, 73, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Friday, August 5, 2016 in Merryville, LA.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn “Kay” Myers of Merryville, LA; sons, Douglas Myers & companion Mollie Huff of Vidor, TX, William Dale Myers & wife Elizabeth of Starks, LA; daughter, Janice Lynn Wilkerson & husband Johnny of Vidor, TX; brothers, Phillip Myers & wife Barbara of DeRidder, LA, Forrest Myers & wife Frankie of Welsh, LA; sisters, Dorlis Pippin & husband Russell of Crowley, LA, Orlis Yawn & husband Herbert of Hattiesburg, MS, Tanga Sellers & husband Darron of Merryville, LA; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.

Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest & Grace Myers; brothers, Wayne & Jimmy Ray Myers; sister, Evalee Tilley; step-sons, John & James Sliman.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 5:00-9:00PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Services will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 2:00PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Burial will follow in the Grace Memorial Park in Merryville, LA. Rev. Donnis Ashworth & Rev. Ed Tilley will officiate.
