Dorothy Mae Noble Woodley, 59, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, September 11, 2020.


Dorothy had an incredible zest for life; she lived her life to the fullest. She was a light in the life of every person that she encountered and such a blessing to her family. Her spirit was so big it will remain on this earth forever. She enjoyed working in the emergency department at Beauregard Health System for close to twenty years, she kept her coworkers in line. She loved to cook and feed anyone and everyone, there was always more than enough food to go around. Dorothy had such an infectious personality. She would always say “stop that foolishness, darlin!” She was so loved and will be dearly missed by all.


Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of sixteen years, Charles Woodley of DeRidder, LA; sons, Scotty Youngblood of Pelican, LA, Charles Scott of Dallas, TX; daughters, Kim Davis and Anthony of Pelican, LA, Latrice Monroe, Denise Monroe, Kara Monroe, all of Mansfield, LA; brothers, Edward Noble, Chris Thomas, Charles Thomas, all of Brockton, MA, Richard Noble, Ronson Noble, both of DeRidder, LA;  sisters, Jerryfine Baggett and John of DeRidder, LA, Edna Bundick of Killeen, TX, Betty Thomas of Brockton, MA; sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of very special nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.


She was preceded in death by her father, James Noble; mother, Alberta Isaac Noble; brothers, McQuinn Noble, Kenneth Noble; grandmother, Sally Mae Northington.


Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Frank Williams will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be John Baggett, Otis Clark, Trent Banks, Isaac Philyaw, Arvant Malone and Kaleb Clark. Honorary Pallbearers were Charles Scott, Cliff Clark and Scotty Youngblood. Burial will follow at Belgrade Cemetery in Bon Wier, TX.
