Donald Lee Mitchell

February 21, 1932 - June 1, 2015

Donald Lee Mitchell, 83, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, June 1, 2015 at his home.  Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nettie Doris Simmons Mitchell; son, Dale Mitchell and wife Anita of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Sharon Moore and husband Terry of DeRidder, LA; sister, Alma Ramsey and husband Robert of Haughton, LA; granddaughter, Amanda O’Brien and husband Aaron of Grafenwohr, Germany; grandsons, Robert Mitchell Jr. and wife Kayla of Porter, TX, Jonathan Mitchell of DeRidder, LA, Casey Bailey and wife Celina of DeRidder, LA; great grandchildren, Rylea and Katherine O’Brien, and Elizabeth Mitchell; and numerous niece and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris and Minnie Cooley Mitchell; sister, Juanice Phelphs; brothers, RC, JP, and John R. Mitchell.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June, 3, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service is Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:00am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in DeRidder.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Bro. Danny Wilson and Jay Alexander will officiate.
