Don "D.P." Stewart

Don "D.P" Stewart, son of the late Ed and Ada Stewart, departed this life on Monday, October 13, 2008 at Beth Israel Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Old Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Mr. Stewart attended both Grambling University and McNeese State University in Louisiana and worked as a longshoreman in New York City.

He is survived by the following; Brothers: Wilbon Stewart of Chicago, Illinois and Wyman Stewart (Esther) of Detroit, Michigan; Sisters: Dovie Ambeau of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Bennie Jones of Chicago, Illinois, and Eddie Ransom (Calava) of DeRidder, Louisiana; Sister-in-Law: Curlie Stewart of DeRidder, Louisiana; Brother-in-Law:Leroy Crawford of Gonzales, Louisiana; As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by: Arthur Stewart, Paul Stewart, Wiley W.R. Stewart, Ida M. Andling, Alma Rogers, Mandie Crawford.
