Dewayne Scott Blackmon, 57, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, August 29, 2022.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Toni Blackmon of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Tyller Blackmon of Lake Charles, LA; stepchildren, Jon Michael Preston and Shyanne of Hutto, TX, Randi Preston of Lake Charles, LA; father, Gary Blackmon of DeRidder, LA; brother, Clark Blackmon and Lisa of Round Rock, TX; sister, Sheila Bourgeois and Tim of Sulphur, LA, Kelly Blackmon of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Carter Preston, Liam Preston and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Blackmon; grandparents, Wilmot and Eloise Kellogg, Zack and Ruby Blackmon, all of Merryville, LA.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will continue at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, until the time of service at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Pastor George Lee Glass of Grace Church, DeRidder, LA and Senior Pastor Steve Graves of First Baptist Church, DeRidder will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Clark Blackmon, Jon Michael Preston, Jon David Preston, Adam Preston, Hunter Bourgeois and Carter Blackmon. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
