Delmer "Miles" Long

Delmer “Miles” Long, 49, of Leesville, LA passed from this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his home.  Mr. Long was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son.  He served in the United States Army and had tours in Iraq and Desert Storm.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susan Long; son, Allen Beecher and wife Kim of Smiths, AL; daughter, Julia Johnson and husband Aaron of DeRidder, LA; mother, Antoinette Long of E. Vandergrift, PA; brothers, Randy Long of E. Vandergrift, PA and Victor Poisontete and wife Sue of Long Island, NY; brother-in-law, Curtis Dunagan of Albany, NY; grandchildren, Gary Allen Beecher, Preston Beecher, Joshua Hickman, and Lillian Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Long.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA on Monday, September 30, 2013.
