Deborah Lynn Snider

Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Snider of Merryville, La. was born on October 13, 1960, and passed away on July 7, 2024, at the age of 63.

She was a member and Pastor’s wife of The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ in DeRidder, La for 12 years. Through the years she helped various churches and organizations to further the Kingdom of God. She loved worshipping the Lord and singing southern gospel songs, her favorite song was “Build My Mansion.” She was kind-hearted, strong-willed, honorary, and loving. She is known for cracking jokes, passing out candy, and giving the best hugs to her friends and family. Her dogs were her favorite children and her pride and joy. There was nothing she would not do for people. She was determined to share what little she had with everyone, including children who needed clothes and families who needed food. She was on a mission to make sure every member of her church’s “flock” had a flock of chickens of their own.

She is preceded in death by her son, Clyde “CJ” Snider Jr.; mother, Thelma Jo Gunter; sister, Marian Gunner Gobert and brother, Melvin “Tiny” Smith.

She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 45 years, Clyde Snider Sr of Merryville, La; daughter, Juanita “Renee” Mendez and husband, Benjamin Mendez of Cleveland, Tx; son, Dustin Snider and wife Janna Snider of Crosby, Tx; grandchildren, Jeremias Mendez and wife, Monica, Sarah Phillips and husband, Ryan, Abraham Mendez, Garrett Snider, Cloie Snider, Isaac Mendez, Jase Snider, Missy Snider, and Sadie Snider; sister, Bobbie Thompson and husband, Bobby of La, sister, Judy Revis of Tx; sister, Sandy Fanning and  husband, Mark of Tx; and brother, David Revis of Tx.; numerous nieces, nephews, family, friends, and church members.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 12, 2023, also at Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in DeRidder, LA. Reverend Arlie Rowley will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Dustin Snider, Garrett Snider, Jeremias Mendez, Abraham Mendez, Isaac Mendez, Kendall Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jase Snider and Benjamin Mendez. Burial will follow at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
