Dean H. Burns

Dean Hunter Burns, 87, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, May 30, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of sixty-two years, Cathy Burns of DeRidder, LA; son, Bret Burns and Lisa of Grayson, LA; son-in-law, Darrell Eaves of Merryville, LA; sisters, Mary Ann Burks of North Carolina; Bertie Lee of Bogalusa, LA; grandchildren, Austin Burns, Korey Burns, Ashley Eaves-Sonnier and Nick, Cody Eaves and Delaney; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Eaves; parents, Robert and Clellie Burns; brother, Robert Burns.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Alexandria Geovanni will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Austin Burns, Cody Eaves, Robert Emmons, David Perkins, Brian Stuart, J.W. Bolton. Honorary pallbearer will be Nick Sonnier. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
