Darron Sellers

Darron “Mule Rider” Sellers, 69, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Monday, June 6, 2022.

Darron graduated from South Beauregard High School in 1972. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Darron worked as a loader operator in the logging industry for twenty-five years. He loved hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved his family. He will always be remembered as the “life of the party”, because of the fact that he kept everyone laughing with his joking and friendly personality. He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his companion, Brenda Franks of Merryville, LA; sons, Arron Sellers and Amy of DeRidder, LA, Shawn Sellers and Sarah of Rosepine, LA; daughters, Tammy Isbell and Daniel of Merryville, LA, Kimberly Hensgens Albrecht of Lake Charles, LA; thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tanga Sellers; father, Bartley Sellers; mother, Juanita Rodisch; brothers, Darrell Sellers, Barkley Sellers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 9, 2022, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Delbert Isbell will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Dustin Myers, Shaye Myers, Devin Perkins, Eric Perkins, Wayne Hennigan, Javis Hennigan, Jason Thompson. Burial will follow at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
