Darrell Robert Zumalt

December 10, 1947 - January 31, 2015

Dr. Rev. Darrell Robert Zumalt, 67, of Pekin, IN, passed from this life on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his home.  Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley Bowman Zumalt of Pekin, IN; son, Kevin Zumalt and wife Tiarra of Henryville, IN; daughter, Christie Carter and husband Brent of Olathe, CO; stepson, Gary Martin and wife Wendy of Tulsa, OK; stepdaughter, Susan Harmon and husband Matt of Covington, OK; brothers, David Zumalt and partner Chip Walley of New Orleans, LA, and Steven Zumalt and wife Peggy of Cabot, AR; sister, Faith Ruminer of Cabot, AR; brother-in-law, Wilson Swire of Sulphur, LA; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and many special friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Berta Hoffpauir Zumalt; parents, Rev. Robert and Eva Zumalt; sister, Marcelyn Swire; granddaughter, Lacy Carter.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service is Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 10:00am at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.  Rev. James West and Rev. James Lewis will officiate.
