Darlene Sue Simmons Hare, 78, of Lake Charles, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, August 28, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Malcolm Hare, Jr. and Keitha of Merryville, LA, Stephen Hare and Evelyn of DeRidder, LA, Jon Hare and Tina of Moss Bluff, LA; daughter, Laura Lynette Hare Duvall of Westminster, SC; brothers, Jerry Simmons of Marietta, GA, Bobby Simmons and Kathy of Biloxi, MS, Rex Pitman and Paula of Shreveport, LA; sister, Janet Swilley of Oceanside, CA;  grandchildren, Meagan, Aaron, Summer, Ben, Kevin, Abram, Mary, Brandon, Alisha and Dustin ; great grandchildren, McKinnley, Aubrey, Greta, Macie, Airie, Berlin, Liam, Koen, Tomas, Penelope, Nora and Easton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jennings Collins Simmons; mother, Dorothy Pitman; brothers, Doug Pitman, Jimmy Simmons.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA and will continue Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral service at 11:00 AM, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Jay Alexander will officiate the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be Meagan, Aaron, Summer, Ben, Kevin, Abram, Mary, Brandon, Alisha, Dustin and Tomas.
