Damon Jay Smith, 55, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Monday, May 15, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Leah Smith of DeRidder, LA; son, Lucas Hanchey of DeRidder, LA ; daughters, Ashley Mauldin and Stuart of Midlothian, TX, Krista Gomez and Roland of Midlothian, TX, Ava Hanchey of DeRidder, LA; mother, Pat Scott of Wichita, KS; brother, Kevin Smith of Rosepine, LA; sister, Laurie Smith of Olla, LA; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Shirley Smith; brother, Joey Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Living Hope Church in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Kevin Coward and Pastor George Lee Glass will officiate the service.
