Cynthia “Cindy” Kay Perkins Nash, 56 years old of Junction, Louisiana passed away on March 3, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 26, 1968 to John and Reda Midkiff Perkins in DeRidder, Louisiana.

Cindy was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend.

In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball. She graduated from Deridder High School and went on to have a career as a CNA. She specialized with the elderly and special needs patients. She worked hard to support her three boys who were her everything. Cindy had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Cindy took care of family members when they were sick, and she would drop anything to give her support when needed. She loved her family and spending time with them, when she got a chance, especially her grandchildren. Cindy was simply a country girl who loved the water, to dance, hunt and go fishing.

Cindy is preceded in death by her father John Perkins, Grandparents; Hosey and Ethel Midkiff, and Rev. Elmer and Lela Herrin Perkins, aunts; Emma Lea McKee, LaFern Corley, sister-in-laws; Karen Nash and Sharon Nash, mother-in-law: Betty Ruth Nash and one grandchild; Crimson Curtis.

She is survived by her mother Reda Midkiff Perkins of Junction, LA., Three children; Stephen Perkins of DeRidder, LA., Elton Nash (Josie) of Pickering, LA, Joey Nash of Pickering, LA., siblings; Tony Perkins of Junction, LA., and Stephanie Perkins of Rosepine, LA., aunt; Minnie Ruth Young and Ten grandchildren; Liam Nash, Stephen Perkins II, Skyler Perkins, Baylor Nash, Shyla Kay Phelps, Daxton Nash, Jenson Nash, Khloee Curtis, Hadlee Curtis, and Cashton Bullock.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday March 7, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Bankson will officiate the service. A visitation will be on Thursday March 6, 2025, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Visitation will follow on Friday from 11:00am until the start of service at 1:00pm.

Rest in peace, Cindy. You'll be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives you touched!
