Cody Wayne Marler, 38, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, July 24, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty years, April Drake Marler of Merryville, LA; sons, Nolan Marler, Jude Marler, both of Merryville, LA, Caleb Colvin of DeRidder, LA; mother and step-father, Mona and Dan Simpson of Alvarado, TX; step-mother, Karen Richardson of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; sister, Christina M. Marler and Phillip S. Kaltsas of DeRidder, LA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy and Andrew Wang; step-brothers, Devin Simpson and Michael Simpson of Alvarado, TX; nephews and nieces, Ayden, Brayden, Gracie, Michael, Caroline; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Marler; grandmothers, Ada Moore, Johnnie Ortiz.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home.
