Clarence Melvin “Buddy” Smith, Jr. 73, of Merryville; Junction Community, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2019.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Linda Gale Hare Smith of Merryville, LA; daughters, Wendy Ranae Smith of DeRidder, LA and Shawna LeLaura Noble and Thomas of DeRidder, LA; brother, Michael Smith and Trish of Milwaukee, WI; sisters, Ronda Haney and Calvin of Atlanta, GA and Donna Sue Bean of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Krysten and Dustin, Emily and Cody, Michael and Cheryl, Allison and Tyler and Sydnee; great grandchildren, Jensen, Lukas, Malachi, Addaniah, Julia, Katarina, Sylvia, and Emersyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Smith Sr. and Mabel Cooper Smith; brother, James Smith; sisters, Ann Jeane, Jean Dowden, and Marie Smith.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Merryville, LA.  Pastor Jim Miers will officiate the service. Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
