Clara "Sue" Lewing

Clara "Sue" Duren Lewing, lovingly know by her husband Bobby as "Suzy", 69, of DeRidder, LA peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on August 28th, 2024. 

Suzy was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She enjoyed sitting outside drinking her coffee, reading books and scripture while listening to the birds. Sue loved gardening, feeding her squirrels and listening to her owls. She loved watching old western movies while sitting beside her beloved husband Bobby, but most of all she loved visiting with and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of thirty-six years, Bobby L. Lewing of DeRidder, LA; sons, Robert E. Ipes, Jr. and Leenora of DeRidder, LA, Reesie Ipes of DeRidder, LA, Phillip Lewing and Karen of Orange, TX, Brad Lewing and Charity of DeRidder, LA; sister-in-law, Rose Duren of Ville Platte, LA; grandchildren, Shalee' Chesson and Jace, Cherie Rogers and Matthew, Dylan Ipes and Nicole, Brandon Lewing, Dustin Owens, Brittany Jansen & Cameron; great grandchildren, Re'lyn Jansen, Jade Chesson, Madeline Chesson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Catherine Duren; brother, Ray Duren; sister, Mary Jo Doyle.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Grace Church in DeRidder, LA. Brother George Lee Glass will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Justin Duren, Brandon Lewing, Dylan Ipes, Dustin Owens, Jace Chesson, Matthew Rogers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Dobson, Jimmy Cureton. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery in Elizabeth, LA.
