Funeral services for C. J. Gibson, 61 of Starks, LA will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at First Pentecostal Church Starks in Starks, LA.

The Rev. Greg Fraizer will officiate. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery in Starks, LA. All under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.

Mr. Gibson passed from this life on July 4, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his family and friends.

He was a native of Starks, LA and a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Starks in Starks, LA.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cooking at deer camp for his boys and playing music. He loved giving the “love of his life” a hard time. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Left to cherish his memory are his Wife: Brenda Fontenot Gibson of Starks, LA.

Daughters: Natasha Gibson of Starks, LA and fiancé Nelson Moore, of West Virginia and Shelly Gibson of Starks, LA: Brothers: David Gibson and Wife LaDonna of Starks, LA and Larry Gibson and Wife Audrey of Deweyville, TX: Sisters: Shelma Trahan and Husband Ernie of Starks, LA, Sharon Hagar of Starks, LA, Evelyn Montgomery of Deweyville, TX, Mabel Bass of Vidor, TX, and Louise Gaskins and Husband Charles (Chuck) of Starks, LA. He has 4 grandchildren.
