Christopher Beadie Mcdonald

Christopher Beadie McDonald, 61, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

Chris loved his family and the time spent with them. His grandchildren were the pride of his life.

A message from a special friend and cancer survivor patient: “Chris was an inspiration to me as well. I saw in him a fighter who didn’t give up. May God bless you, my sweet friend. We love you.”

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Dana McDonald; son, Cody McDonald; daughter, Carlee McDonald and Markcus Jamerson; grandchildren, Christina “Chipmunk”, Melody “Monkey”, Daisy “Pretty Girl”, Markcus “Lil Man”; sister, Diane Lowe; dog, Dixie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.B. and Elsie McDonald; nieces, Anita Johnson, Crystal Norris.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Reverend Sky Miller will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Billy Burr, Todd McDonald, Tommy Shaver, Andy Bryant, Dale Fitzwater, Rodney Pickering. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Wilson, Marvin McDonald. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.

Special thanks to Hearts of Hospice nurses, Anna, Brittany and Ashley for their wonderful service and care for the last two weeks.

Also special thanks to Blake and his volunteers for spending their time to make Uncle Chris’s wish come true of a beautifully crafted simple pine box.
