It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Williams Franks, who left this world on January 17, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on December 12, 1957, in Silsbee, Texas, Christine spent her life spreading love and joy, especially to her beloved grandbabies and children.
Christine was a warm and loving wife to her husband, Bruce Franks, and a dedicated mother whose kindness and laughter will surely be missed. She cherished her time at Grace Church, where she was an active member, always ready to lend a helping hand and worship alongside her community.
An adventurous spirit, Christine loved to ride motorcycles and was proud to be a member of the Christian Motorcycle group. She found joy in exploring the great outdoors, whether it was treasure hunting, fishing, hunting or hiking in the mountains. The beach was one of her favorite escapes, and she enjoyed scuba diving and spearfishing, often returning home with treasures from the bottom of the lakes-old bottles and stunning stones that she collected with a sense of wonder.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Bruce Franks of Merryville, LA; son, John Paul Galloway and Nikki of DeRidder, LA; stepdaughter, Tina Simmons and Danny of DeRidder, LA; brother, Larry Williams and Michelle of DeRidder, LA; sister, Sandra W. Pruitt of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Lincoln and Maverick Galloway and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Williams; sister, Tina Williams; stepdaughter, Tammy Mitchell.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Christine's incredible life and the impact she had on everyone around her. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2025, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow at Bivens Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
In this time of loss, we remember Christine not just for her passing, but for the vibrant life she led and the love she inspired in all of us. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.
